Milne named first Greens deputy leader

Tasmanian Greens Senator Christine Milne has been elected as the party's federal deputy leader to Bob Brown.

It is the first time the Greens have had a deputy leader.

Since the last election, the Greens now have five senators in the Upper House of Federal Parliament.
