The sister-in-law of criminal Tony Mokbel has lost her final legal bid to be released from a Victorian jail.
Renate Mokbel put up surety of $1 million for Mokbel during his drug trafficking trial in March 2006.
She failed to pay and was jailed for two years when he absconded.
Last year the Court of Appeal rejected a request for her to be given more time to come up with $1 million.
Today the High Court of Australia rejected special leave to appeal against that decision.
