A man has died in Melbourne's north-west this afternoon, after an altercation with police involving capsicum spray.
Victori Police say the 30-year-old man from Albanvale was threatening self-harm and already had several injuries when police and paramedics arrived on the scene.
When police attempted to arrest the man, an altercation broke out and police sprayed the man with capsicum spray.
He collapsed on the street and paramedics were unable to revive him.
Police are investigating the death.
