Man jailed for trafficking, blackmail

A man has been sentenced to 11 years in jail for drug trafficking and blackmail.

Forty-year-old Milad Mokbel pleaded guilty to six charges, including concealing the proceeds of crime and trafficking a large commercial quantity of methylamphetamine.

The Supreme Court also ordered the confiscation of his proceeds of crime, including a Harley Davidson motorcycle and two watches worth more than $20,000 each.

Milad Mokbel will serve a minimum of eight years before he is eligible for release.
