A Fijian judge has sentenced Melbourne man Simon McCartney to spend the term of his natural life in prison for murdering his wife.
In Fiji's capital Suva this morning, Justice Daniel Goundar sentenced McCartney to serve life with a minimum of 18 years.
McCartney's lawyer Sevuloni Valenitabua said his client would seek an immediate appeal.
