A man who carried out a contract killing in 1985 has been released on parole after serving 22 years in prison.
Evan Leon Hall, 49, was sentenced to strict security life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 20 years, in February 1986 after being found guilty of the wilful murder of Judith Scott.
Hall had been hired to carry out the murder on behalf of another prisoner, Ronald Thompson.
In sentencing Hall, the judge described the murder as cold blooded, premeditated and expertly carried out.
The Prisoners Review Board approved Hall's parole in July after he successfully completed a re-socialisation program.
