A District Court judge has fined a 55-year-old Brisbane businessman for allowing prostitutes to work out of his Kangaroo Point motel.
Timothy Brendon Parker pleaded guilty on Monday to one count of having an interest in a premises used for prostitution.
The court heard police from the Prostitution Enforcement Taskforce targeted the Queensland Motel in 2006 after they became aware prostitutes were working there.
Judge Milton Griffin fined Parker $2,500 but did not record a conviction after hearing Parker had no criminal history and had given up his motel lease.
