Woman jailed for 'horrific' child porn games

A Sydney woman has been jailed for at least three years for using child pornography, showing rape and bestiality, in online sexual role plays.

Suzanne McDonald told the District Court she became involved in the role plays with men on the internet after her marriage ended.

The 40-year-old said the pornography was sent to her and she played the role of children depicted in the images.

McDonald was charged last year after police found about 143 child porn movies and more than 2,000 images in a search of her Surry Hills home, in inner Sydney.

She conceded some were "the most horrific and worst kind" of pornography, and pleaded guilty to charges of possession and dissemination, as well as supplying prohibited drugs.

Judge Paul Conlon sentenced McDonald to four-and-a-half years in jail, with a non-parole period of three years.

He said it was important to remember child pornography was not a victimless crime.
