Territorians go to the poll today

Territorians go to the polls today to decide who will govern the Northern Territory for the next four years.

Some 119,814 voters are enrolled in the NT, with booths opening at 8am (CST) at numerous sites around the major centres.

Thousands have already voted at hundreds of mobile polling stations dotted throughout the vast outback, with a quarter of voters located in remote areas.

The lightning 19-day campaign has been a relatively drab affair, dominated by development, lifestyle and law and order.

Two seats have already fallen to Labor in a territory first, after the opposition failed to find candidates for the Top End seat of Arnhem or the Central Australian seat of Macdonnell.
