Dr George Sliwinski psychiatristThe New South Wales Health Department says it has received no complaints about a psychiatrist who has been working on the central coast after serving a sentence for killing his former wife.
Dr George Sliwinski pleaded guilty to manslaughter in 1987 during his trial over the shooting death.
He was released on parole in 1990.
The Central Coast Mental Health Service says Dr Sliwinski was employed in 1994 as a resident medical officer under conditions imposed by the state medical tribunal.
It says he is now employed as a psychiatric registrar, working under the supervision of a consulting psychiatrist.
Quote: Why not? He's more likey to have more insight into the conditions of his patients than most regular psychiatrists.
