Jail for man who forged parents' signatures

A man who forged his parents' signatures to fraudulently borrow hundreds of thousands of dollars has been jailed for more than three years.

Amedeo Mazzini, 38, of Marden in Adelaide also claimed he had power of attorney over his parents' property, to borrow more money and buy his own home.

His mother and father spent $23,000 clearing their names and Mazzini tried to blame a mortgage broker for his offending.

District Court Judge Peter Herrimann jailed him for three years and four months, with a non-parole period of two years and two months.

The court heard the parents had forgiven their son.
