A police officer who spat on a driver has been put on a good behaviour bond.
The officer will now be the subject of disciplinary action by the South Australian Police Commissioner.
Stephen James Lloyd, 49, was riding his motorcycle along Hackney Road in Adelaide in December 2006 while on long-term leave from his job.
Lloyd got angry when a motorist pulled out in front of him and decided to 'give her a piece of his mind'.
The Salisbury Heights man spat and because the car window was partly open, it hit the woman in the eye.
Lloyd pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour but said he was suffering from chronic depression at the time.
An Adelaide magistrate has imposed a two-year good behaviour bond and not recorded a conviction.
